Algonquin Park has been a major source of inspiration for painters throughout the century. From Tom Thomson and the “Algonquin School of Painters” to Robert Bateman and Tony Bianco, the Park has helped shape the works and visions of some of Canada’s most celebrated painters. In light of this cultural history, the Algonquin Arts Initiative is developing painter workshops and programs to help a new generation of artists realize the aesthetic powers of Algonquin Park.
These programs are currently in development. Please check back in January, 2015 for updates.
